Possible charges are possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and/or delivery of a controlled substance. The severity of the charges will oftentimes depend on the amount. At the very least the charges will be considered a class 4 felony punishable by 1-3 years in the department of corrections. If the sale occurred near a school the penalties may be more severe.
