Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My place was Raided by the police for selling pot, they only found a small amount compared to what they were looking for and little evidence of trafficking other than a few text messages. They took me into the station, and after a long wait released me with no charges, no paperwork, no tickets, claiming that they had more important things to worry about at the time, but that a warrant would be issued for my arrest for possession of cannubis and intent to distribute. If they were really going to charge me, wouldn't they have done it that night? What are the chances that they are just trying to intimidate me because they did not find what they want?
