police report
under the laws governing Cook County,Illinois, can the person who signed a complaint obtain a copy of the police report before a trial commences? I know the defendant and attorneys on both sides may.

Yes, a copy of the police report can be obtained by the complainant, or the person who signed the police report. I suggests going to the police department in question and requesting a copy of the police report. Will be happy to answer any additional questions that you may have.
