can a police officer require a driver and a passanger to exit the vehicle on a lawful traffic stop. What if they refuse what can a police officer do. Can you brake a window.

A police office is within the law by requiring a driver and a passenger to exit a vehicle. However, to stop the vehicle there must be legal grounds. The grounds to stop a vehicle are less than "probable cause" and are referred to as a "Terry stop".
