can i prosecute for forgery?

Can i prosecute an attorney for writing a check to some one else. being the client, that i paid for their fee's? the bank for cashing said check,and the person who forged my name to the check. the check being written to both of us.and being cashed with out my consent.

If the facts are as you state them in your question, it sounds as if there was some wrongdoing by either the attorney, the other person on the check or both. If so, you may have a cause of action (the right to file a lawsuit seeking relief) against the responsible party or parties. However, it is possible that there is something more to the story, or that there has been an honest mistake or misunderstanding. In my experience many problems of this nature can be resolved sucessfully without a lawsuit. Depending upon your legal right to the money or a part of the money, and depending upon the amount of money involved, it may be worth while hiring an attorney to represent you.
