Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Public Urination

Hello-

I'm in need of some advice. I was recently issued a ticket for public urination in Chicago. I don't know what the fee will be but I assume I have to present myself in court to find out. I have no past criminal record so this would be my first time offence for anything like this.

My question is: does this go on my file as a misdemeanor? Do I need to hire a lawyer for this case?

I appreciate your advice. Thank you.

Re: Public Urination

You absolutely need a lawyer. Risk vs. reward of not having one. You want an attorney that does a lot of work at the court house you have to go to. Without knowing that, we can't recommend someone for you. Contact us at and we will try to help.

Re: Public Urination

Hello. In my opinion you are being charged with

a misdemeanor. I suggests that you hire an

attorney. I always advise that a person should

never appear in court without one. Will be happy to answer any other questions you may have.
