Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I received a ticket for Sale of Alcohol to a Minor at Retail for selling a drink to someone who provided an ID on several occasions. What type of law does this fall under (so I know who to hire)? Also, I no longer work at that bar and the owner originally stated that his lawyer would be representing me...he has since changed his mind. My court date is in 6 days and since it is such short notice I fear I won't be able to find a lawyer in time. Would he/she be able to postpone my date to give us more time?
