Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I recently had a possession case dismissed in court. I then received a letter saying I was indicted by the Cook County Grand Jury. I thought this was called double jeopardy? What shall I do?

It is not jeopardy. Your case was dismissed at the preliminary hearing stage so you can be indicted. Call me if you want a more detailed explanation.
