Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I recently worked for a gas station, I was fired because of AT&T 60.00 phone card. Now when I firsted started the job May 10, 2010 I never carried a cell phone. The manger said she went throw video typing and said that she couldn't fine anything. She also had another manger looks over the video type too, and she said caught what my manger missed, that the phone card printed paper was with the close your shift papers. So both mangers pull me in the office and told me what they through I've tooken the phone card. I come in to work Thursday August 7, 2010, I worked nights from 10pm-5am
5 days week. When I clocked in I was called back to the mangers office. The manger stated that I did steal the phone card and stated that AT&T called them and told that the phone was used at 4:15am, Now she comes in every morning at 4:00am everyday. Now what I did was I recieve I phone call at around 1or2am asking how much is a AT&T 60.00 phone card. I place the custormer on hold ring up the phone card, the all together with tax it was about 67.00, I went back to the phone told custormer, they said that you never mine, and I hang up the phone and voided the card out. This what was should on the video type. I was charge with it. Just from a legel point of view should I do.
