Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Record
I would like to know how to make a motion to expouneage my record. What forms I need where to get them etc. If I can repersent myself or if I need an attonery and what the cost might be. I have been convicted and did serve 1-3 years in presion for 3 counts of burglery. I have not committed a crime since 1977 and would like to have my record sealed if possible. Can this be done?

Re: Record
With a felony committed in Illinois that you did prison time on, you are not eligible to have that record expunged and sealed. I have successfully petitioned the Governor of Illinois for a pardon for a burglary that was not quite as old as yours. The only way to have your record cleared at this point is through a governor's pardon. If you wish to talk about this further, please call 630-965-8280.
