Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Re-indictment
A friend of mine was caught with drugs on him while driving on suspended or revoked driver license. His case got thrown out because the arresting cop didn't show up, but has learned a week ago that he will be re-indicted. How long does the state have to re-indict someone after a case has been thrown out?

Re: Re-indictment
Your friend will be indicted, not re-indicted. How long it will take depends on the county.
