Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Re-issuing subpoenas
I had subpoenas issued for witnesses in my case, the judge entered and continued the subpoenas to date of trial. (The date on the subpoenas differs from the trial date) How do I reissue these subpoenas to my witnesses. I sent the subpoenas certified mail, the judge said that was not the proper way to serve them, they had to be hand delivered. Do I have to re-do the subpoenas and hand deliver or are the subpoenas that I already have sufficient?
