How to remove name from case

My husband's first and last name was included as ''hearsay'' in a criminal case. Can this be stricken, and new report written? This information relates to defaming his character. How can this information be removed? Thank you.

The question is very broad. Certain allowable defamatory statements may be made in court and the speaker is protected from suit. It depends who was speaking, what the context was and a few other things.
