Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
When renewing my license in Ilinois I found that I have 2 traffic infractions in Indiana and I never even had a license in that state. When I called the Hobart City Court - they could not give me any answers they just stated I needed to appear and the results was up to the prosecutor and judge. Does that mean that can still inflict jail time from 2003?

Unless it involves a serious offense (Above and beyond speeding), generally no. Just show and pay the fine - the Hobart "court" has relocated away from main street to the new police station a block away. Visit the clerk there and get the issue taken care of, or hire a local attorney to assist you.
