Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
If someone representing a company secretly records a conversation (eavesdroping) with someone representing another company, what are the potential consequesces for the eavesdropper, and the company they represent? Could the eavesdropper and/or company also be sued?

There are federal and state laws involved. There are fines, and damages. Otherwise there isn't enough information to make an educated evaluation of the situation.
