Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Resentence
Scenario:
A person plea bargains for a sentence of a monetary fine and probation. Same person is arrested while on probation for ? offense, charges are subsequently dismissed with leave to reinstate, person is resentenced to 3 years in the department of corrections, with no mention fo the aforementioned fine. Can the prosecuting attorney have a warrant issued for contempt of court for failure to pay this said fine 5 years later?
Is there no statute of limitqations, is there truly a fine owed?

Re: Resentence
My answer is "no". The resentencing
ends the fine arrangment. Personally,
I have problems with the resentencing
if the 2nd charge was SOL ed.
