Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I am a resident of Illinois. I got arrested when visiting New York and now have an approaching court date. I am aware if I miss the court date there will be a warrant out for my arrest, but what are the long term consequences? Will it stay on my record? Can I pay a fee? What should I do!!!??

Depends on why you were arrested. If you ignore your court date, then yes, it is very likely a warrant will be issued for your arrest. I highly recommend that you contact a New York attorney directly and immediately.
