Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Roommate case
I had a roommate who stayed with me for 6 months, i had to kick her out because she want a good roommate so she went like within that week and filled out a police report against me saying i had went in her bank account without permission and they charged it as ''forgey of checks'' now i know #1 i deposited a check for her i have the note she gave me giving me permission, she sent me like 675 because she was late on her rent i have the western union she sent me, i have the contract which shows that she gave me permission to use her account if i needed to take out money for the house, and during the case she has been contacting me and i have a letter or email to prove it, do you think i can get this case dropped with the evidence i have? They have my bond it was 3,000 for me to get out (not 10%). What can i do to get this dropped?

You should be asking your lawyer this question. This will probably not go away without a trial. Get a criminal defense lawyer right away. You are facing prison time.
Re: Roommate case
It appears as though you have significant defenses to the charges against you. The problem is that you cannot discuss them with the State's
Attorney to show why this case should not be pursued. You need an attorney working on your behalf for a number of reasons. There are special rules of evidence that can affect the presentation of the materials you have, and these need to be followed. These are very serious charges requiring very careful handling to prevent a prison sentence. Please feel free to contact our office.
