Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Im sorry i dont know what section of this law this is, so i choose criminal law.
I stole a game from wallmart, i was caught outside the store with the game. I told the cops i took it and they put me in handcuffs and brought me back to the store.
I was released there with a ticket fining me $75, and said i would get a court date in the mail.
The cop said it was a "local ordnance" ticket.
I was banned from wallmart.
The cop says i need to pay a fine ($75)and goto this traffic court.
will i need to hire a lawyer, was the cop lying, am i in serious trouble?
