Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Setup- Conspiracy, trafficking, possesion

Someone knew that they where in trouble by being watched (police stated) leaving a note in a false name at a house they owned for drugs to be delivered through a parcel service and asked me to pick up their mail for them without telling me what they were expecting after riding by waiting for them to arrive and picking up their mail I was arrested before even given a chance to leave their driveway or call them. Everything in my police report leads to them sending at least $1,200 5 times to the source of the drugs, finding package wrappers 3-4 times where something was delivered in the same house that contained drugs, also in the houses owned by this person 5guns, a scale, plane tickets and phone records leading exactly to the source of the drugs, nothing at all about me except me riding past their house several times waiting for them knocking and picking up their mail. I received the same exact charges as this person Conspiracy, trafficking and possession but this person already as a prior felony drug conviction. But police had already removed the drugs from the box I picked up for this person not knowing what he was expecting. How can I be charged with his crimes? and what can I do and who can beat this case(lawyers) in Ill?

The tough part is proving you had no knowledge of the contents of the box. There is case law in Illinois that states that if you did not open the box, you may not be held accountable for its contents. I can't promise you anything. No lawyer can. However, you have a good chance based on the case law, and that the police report the facts as you have. I have experienced the police being creative in reporting facts. Especially the narcotics police. If you would like a consultation, please call.
