Texas may use different wording but Illinois has a charge for failure to report changes of address or employment for registered sex offenders. Failure to comply with reporting requirements is a class 3 felony carrying 2-5 years penitentiary time.
Failure to comply with the Sex Offender Registration Act will also result in a 10-year extension of the registration period. The 10-year extension starts when the sex offender registers after the violation.
