when a person has just turn 19 and the other person was 17 going on 18 in one month and the 17 year olds mother call the police but the police did not find a cause but the 17 year old never went to court they offer the 19 year one year supervision but never register as a sex offender and now that the 19 year cought a drug case and went to the jail and got out on march on parole now he has to register but never register since it happen but his parole agent has given hard times.is it true that they can keep him from his children? what if the 17 year old said that nothing happen? this case happen in 2000 but we're just finding out the problems. how can we go about this situation.

Hello. This is a very serious matter. You need

a lawyer who will examine the file of the 19 year old to see what the charge was and what

were the terms under which he has been released

from jail. The Department of Children and Family

Services may have become involved and may be

the reason the 19 year old is barred from seeing

his children. There is a lot of work that needs

to be done in this situation. At one time the

19 year old would not have been charged with a

crime, but the law is now being applied differently. I will be happy to answer any
