Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Shoplifting

First off not sure i picked the right area but anyhow.

When I was 13 I was arrested for shoplifting. I was taken In to the police station finger printed and they did one of their reports on me. They called my home but my dad wasn't home but my sister was. They took me back to my home and told me and my sister to have my dad stop by the police station when he got home. I never told my dad. So I never did appear in court or anything. I was wondering if this could have any affect on things i do today like applying for jobs or other such things.

Re: Shoplifting

I would suggest you check first to determine whether charges were ever made - probably not by the sounds of it. If you are over 18, this would be your juvenile record which isn't usually accessible by employers.
