Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
my sister came to town(who i havent seen for years) she came the weekend of my move. she had me put in the hospital under false pretences and against my objection. while iwas in the hospitol she desposed of 25,000 of my property in stead of having the movers i hired to load and store my belongings. i didn't know the things were missing until i took them out of storage and inventoried my propery.she was given strict instructions to load everything,nothing ws to be thrown away. the propery ws mainly tool and electronics i used to run my home contrachting buisness.she tried to get me to give her power of attorney for finances and health care.i refused. im on diability medical. how do i get her to make restitution.her husbans a lawyer

This is a civil matter, not a criminal one. Depending on how much time has passed, you may be able to file suit. But honestly, do you even have the money to retain a $200 an hour attorney, let alone be in a position to sue your own sister?
