Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Nothing but soap
My son was arrested and convicted for being with a friend who attempted to deliver crack to an undercover agent but all he had was soap shavings. My son was convicted in court for a felony charge of ''look like a drug''. Is it possible to get this removed from his record? And is there any such illegal charge?

Re: Nothing but soap
I have never heard of being convicted of a crime
for have a "look alike" drug. Either it was a
controlled substance or it was not. Your son's
file needs to be reviewed by another lawyer,
assuming your son was represented. Will be happy
to answer any additional questions you may have.
