Social Security Fraud

My friend is 17 years of age and she has to go to court for social security fraud. SHe is an ilegal immigrant and she wanted a social security so that she could work and go to college, but when she went to make her state I.D, the poilce told her that the number doesnt match her name. SHe did ask somebody to make this card for her since she was illegal, but she did not know that this person would steal somebody else's nummber and giver her. She is a very good student with good grades and has no criminal record. What will happen if she does get convicted?

She broke the law and must face the penalties - her attorney can explain the penalties - she may be deported by the INS.
