my son was accused of being involved in jumping on some little boy who lived in our old neighborhood. this is suppose to have happen on july 23 however i didnt receive a call from the police till sept. 24. we havent lived in that neighboehood since the beginnig of april. my son last day attending the school in the district was july 16. the police say the boy said it was 3 guys but could only identify my son. i think it some mess going on. this is not in my sons charcter. I know he would do something like that . he has never been in trouble with the law. my son is 15 yeas old. the police want me to bring him in for questioning. my question is should I take him in and if i do what can they do to him? the officer keep call me and has threaten to get a warrant for his arrest If i dont bring him in.

Retain an attorney as soon as possible to protect your son's interests.

Do not meet with any law enforcement officer or make any staements to any law enforcement offier. Do not answer any questions. Do not allow your son to do any of these things. If they believe that they have enouhg "evidence" they can take the matter to the juvenile court and you will receive a notice to appear for an informal meeting. At that time you should certainly consider hiring an attorney.
