Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

my son was staying at a house renting a room the house got raided. they said they found drugs in the house but wouldnt produce them exstacy was found in a safe in my sons room that was open they found pot on his person no arrests were make that night (????) 2 weeks later they put a warrant out for his arrest charged him with a controlled substance never charged him with the pot. he is in jail now because his papers said his court date was the 27th when it was actually the 21st states attorney said he forged them so no i lost the bond money i put up the first time and it will cost 5000 to get him out i dont understand why he was charged with this offense 2 weeks later and it wasnt even on his person

There are a number of issues here. The police may execute a warrant a resonable time after an investigation. It would be wise for you to discuss the details of this case with a criminal defense attorney.
