What constitutes as "statutory rape" in the state of Illinios?

Statutory rape is defined as an
instance when an adult (generally
a male) has sexual intercourse with
a female under the age of 18. Even
if the female consents, the law
says that the sex act amounts to
statutory rape because the law views
a female under the age of 18 as being
below the age at which she could
consent to sex.
