Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
A subject is positively identified as a theft offender. police approach the offender and he throws the stolen items to the ground. Police recover the stolen items. Can these items also be considered "recovered from offender's person"?

Yes, and what is worse is that the law can claim that he "abanondoned" the articles so that he will lose any claim he might have had concerning an illigal search and seizure. He should still hire the very best criminal defense lawyer he can afford.
