Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Would I be to sue a man that molested me 3 times as a child? I have suffered severe emotional distress as an adult and need counseling.

Hello. In Illinois a cause of action that a child has as a result of a tort during childhood can be brought through the age of 18. In other words, when one reaches the age of 19, the lawsuit is generally barred by the statute of limitations in Illinois. However, it may be worth discussing the
