Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I have a summons to appear in court on February 4th, 2011 for failure to report for jury duty in Lake County, IL (where I am no longer a resident). I am scheduled to be at training for work that week in Washington, DC. Is there any way for me to get a continuance without appearing, since I will be out of the state?

You can hire an attorney and the attorney can either appear for you or obtain a continuance.
