since my daughter is under age would I be able to go in her spot?Is there any way we would be able to give a deposition or an affidavit something in writing so she wouldnt have to miss school

I take it your daughter received a subpeona. SHE must appear or she will be in contempt of court and suffer the consequenses. An affidavit can't be cross-examined, therefore it is not acceptable as a substitute for her testimony. Deposition might violate the accused's right to confront the witnesses against him. There is no way out of her appearing in court.
