First offense, retail theft $500, Macy's in Cook County (charged with Felony) - eligible for theft school? Very clean record otherwise.

Re: Theft school (diversion)
The theft school diversion program is generally for misdemeanors, not felonies. The State's Attorney's office sets the eligibility parameters and these change periodically so the only way to know for sure is to have an attorney speak with the State's Attorney on your behalf. As a defendant in a felony case, the State's Attorney will not have conversations with you.
