Re: Theft

You are facing a felony charge of theft. Illinois does not have an offense called embezzelment. The amount taken determines the penalty. The amount of $3,000.00, is a Class 3 felony, punishable by 2 to 5 years, and up to $25,000.00, fine. If you have no prior criminal history, you are probably looking at a period of probation with restitution. Please cdall for a free consultation.
