Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Two time felony conviction, new charge assault and battery
I have been convicted of two drug felonies in the past now i'm charge with assault and battery on a peace officer. Do I have a chance in hell to get boot camp or probation. How much jail time will I be facing. they say my case is a felony but they didn't classified it.

Re: Two time felony conviction, new charge assault and battery
You are being charged with aggravated battery, a Class 2 offense. That carries a sentence of 3 to 7 years. If this is your third Class 2 offense or better (meaning you have a Class 1, Class X, or murder) then you are Class X eligible. That is 6 to 30 years in prison, no probation is possible. Neither is boot camp.
