Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

I live in Illinois,and as you know,there are no concealed carry rights here.My question is;if I have a handgun in my vehicle in a proper case with a loaded magazine in the case but not in the gun which is legal transport,would I be commiting UUW if I took the handgun out of the case and loaded it in defense of my life?
