Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Wife found out that I paid a prostitute for sex, she has bank records and phone numbers of text messages that she says she will take to the police, can they arrest me and charge me with a crime, with no real proof that I paid the lady?

It appears from the facts and evidence that you've provided, that the police would have enough to charge you with prostitution.
Whether the State's Attorney has enough to convict you is a different question and in my opinion, based on the limited facts at hand, and with the right representation, I would say the answer is no.
