Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

will my 21 yr old son see jail time or prison time and how long...he is on conditional discharge for a dui and failed to report for a drug test and a warrant was issued he got stopped and he ran from the police officer and still on the run...but he has 2 drug paraphanelia charges on his record and the cop found drug paraphenlia again in his bag when he ran...please can u help

I'm sorry to hear about all of this. Your son has certainly made some bad decisions. Still, we have helped a large number of people who put themselves into these situations. Obviously, we need to get the warrants cancelled, and we may need to do a voluntary surrender and be prepared to post bond. Then, we would need to deal with any current open charges, and do whatever is necessary to clean up the mess from his failing to take the drug test. All of this behavior suggests that we may need to get your son into treatment both in an effort to keep him ourt of jail, and in an effort to keep him out of similar trouble in the future.
