Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I am wondering if you suggest that I have a lawyer with me as I am being questioned by the Illinois State Police for filling out fraudelent papers to obtain an ID. They think that I was trying to steal someones identity I guess. The person was letting me use the ID to get in a party.

If I were you, I would decline to make any statements or answer any questions. If you need to hire an attorney to make this stick do so. The only thing that you will accomplish by speaking with the Police will be to give them more evidence to use against you when you are charged with the commission of a crime. Lawyer up.
