Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

I work in a small office that deals with fast loans, cash advances and title loans.

My coworker was caught taking out false loans using prior customers information. She would take out new loans and pay old loans off. The scheme finally caught up to her and she was arrested for theft when a former customer found out through corporate collection letters she received in the mail.

My question to you is:

Does my employer have any legal obligation to go to the police with information about other loans that were taken out falsely and paid back without the customers being any wiser?

Does my employer have a legal obligation to notifying all that were involved so they can have a say in pursuing any legal action on their own?

Your coworker violated the law and the victims are only potential witnesses. If I was the employer, I would make a full disclosure to the authorities, and cooperate in the prosecution of the coworker. Of course, the coworker needs to hire an attorney without delay, with money not obtained through criminal activity.
