Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Illinois
After 19 years with the company, I was discharged with 1 day notice with no severence pay etc. "company decision" however I was the oldest district manager. Do I have any chance of filing an age discrimination claim although they assured me "age was not the issue.

You can certainly try, but whether you would be successful depends on the particular facts of your case, e.g., your age, whether they have fired other older individuals, whether they hired someone much younger to replace you, etc. You would need to discuss this with an attorney to get a better idea.
