Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

My 73 year old father was sentenced to 75 days in Dupage Jail

Is there something i can do, like appeal this judgement so maybe some of his punishment can be served under house arrest. Considering his age, health ect

There are SO many issues to talk about. First, was he represented by a lawyer? Second, when does he have to start serving the sentence? I'll bet that this isn't his first conviction.... You need to contact me or another lawyer "ASAP".
