Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

Under age DUI in illinois--- a little out of ordinary

Ok so here is the situation, i was arrested for DUI last night in a college town. I noticed a car following me from a distance to my house, which turned out to be the officer. I parked my car and begin walking up the side walk to my house when i heard someone from the car behind me say hey come here buddy, which was the officer. I went to his car where he said that i was seen using improper lane usage. He then asked if i have been drinking which i admited to and also took the breathalizer. My question is can i be accused of a DUI if the officer did not stop me in the car? Even when he pulled up to the house he didn't turn his lights on or anything, and i was already out of the car. I am hoping that I can maybe get this droped to a consumption. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Under age DUI in illinois--- a little out of ordinary

Your situation is not "out of the ordinary" and this issue has been litigated several times. The officer observed you under control of the vehicle. So, I would strongly recommend that you retain a good lawyer as soon as possible. You have a clock ticking on the civil portion of the DUI arrest. Good Luck!
