Being arrested for underage drinking has several consequences. If you were arrested, you were given a bond slip with a citation for the offense under which you were charged. This is the offense under which you are being charged and you can look up what the possible penalties are. Additionally, since you are underage, Illinois has a "zero tolerance" policy for minors and alcohol that may result in the Secretary of State suspending your driver's license (even if you were not driving at the time of the offense).

If the officer used unnecessary force, you should document your injuries through photos and documentation of hospital/treatment records.

Finally, if the officer did not give you your Miranda warnings, it may help your case related to any statements you may have made during your arrest.

You should contact an attorney to discuss your case.
