Automobile Liability
My best friend owns an automobile. His twenty-nine year old son lives with him. My friend has automobile insurance which lists his son and himself as drivers. My question is: If his son is driving the automobile and is involved in an accident, is the father liable? What if the son was intoxicated?

Re: Automobile Liability
The father can very easily be liable. Its his car and his insurance. He decided to make the car available to his son and clearly intended his son to use the car. It is foreseeable that someone will drink before driving, so I would say to your friend "Stop letting others drive your car".
