Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

being charged for felony dui charges after 24 years

How can a person be charged for a felony dui. first offence was 24 yr's ago and get another one after that in recent and is sentenced to six months in prison. he did miss a court date. has lost his license.please submit explation under ILL. laws. that is all I know at this time

I truly can't give you an adequate explanation without examining the court documents. If this was in Du Page or Kane County, Illinois, or in the 3rd, or 4th Municipal Districts of Cook County, please call me. Otherwise, call your local bar association, and seek a referral to a local attorney who practices in this area. That said, it might be way too late to do anything about this if "he" is already in prison. Good Luck!
