Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

Court Appearance Question

I received a DUI in August of last year (2005). I appeared in court a month later and was given a series of things to comply with by September 30th, 2006 (along with a court appearance for that day). I've complied with all classes, fines, supervision visits as of July of this year and was told by my court appointed supervisor that I wouldn't need to appear in court. Is this true?

Re: Court Appearance Question

I don't know who your "court appointed supervisor" is, but I would be very careful NOT TO MISS THAT COURT DATE unless you get something in writing from the Court Clerk or the State's Attorney's office. There is a good chance that you have a misunderstanding and you should probably appear in Court or at least have an attorney do so on your behalf. Good luck.
