Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

My daughter just got a DUI in Illinois. She is 21. I am considering not helping at all. She cannot afford an attorney. Is getting a public defender a good idea in this case? She has had 2 tickets in the past (speeding and leaving the scene after hitting a street sign). They each happened at least 3 years ago. What should I or she do?

If my daughter received a DUI, I would raise the money to hire the best criminal attorney you can afford. Her future is at stake. She might have this one chance to avoid all of the most serious negative consequences that may vefry well result from this incident and have awful consequences for her future. I would not let her go with a public defender if it can be avoided. Please feel free to contact me for a free telephone consultaition.
