Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

Dui fines

I was arrested for a dui in 1994 in Illinois. I had a Alabama license went to my first hearing and wanted to plead guilty but the judge recommended I get an attorney.

I returned to Alabama gave an attorney $500.00 he told me he would take care of everything and that I would not have to go back to court. Shortly after the attorney was arrested in a cocaine bust law practise everything lost.

I was pulled over in my new state of florida and told my license was suspended. They took my license. I call Illinois they have a warrant for my arrest. I want to turn myself in but my bond 750.00 cash which I don't have. I need to know what the fine is. I will turn my self into

and wait for court if I can afford the fine. I still live in Florida.

Re: Dui fines

You need to hire an attorney in Illinois. The attorney needs to motion the case into court and attempt to have the Judgment entered against you vacated. Until you clear this matter, your license will be revoked in Illinois. Most other states will not license you until the Illinois matter is cleared.
